Tides of Change
Tides of Change is a series of twelve abstract drone photographs that explore the dynamic beauty of the intertidal zone, which is a landscape in constant flux. Captured from above, these images reveal the transformations that occur as the tide ebbs and flows, highlighting ephemeral patterns, textures, and colours shaped by the ocean’s rhythms.
From crashing waves that sculpt the shoreline to gentle surges that barely ripple the surface, the sea imprints itself on the land in subtle and powerful ways. The retreating tide exposes intricate, otherworldly designs etched into the sand, making records of water in motion. As time passes, the tide returns, washing over the beach and resetting the scene, creating an ever-renewing dialogue between land and sea.
These photographs document moments of transition, inviting viewers to pause and reflect on the delicate balance of natural forces at play. Tides of Change is both a visual meditation on impermanence and a celebration of the quiet, transformative power of the ocean.
